Renascer: An exploration on Cacao Waste as a Biomaterial
Institution: DISSENY HUB BARCELONA
Faculty: Cristina Dezi
Team: Maria Luiza Gomes Torres, Ozzy Veliz
A key focus of this workshop was incorporating cacao waste materials into a bioplastic suitable for 3D printing applications, while preventing fungal overgrowth on the bio-material itself. Through trial and error, the FabriAcademy Open-Source Library, and manual hand extrusion, we tested its adaptability for 3D printing, particularly for generating single-line toolpaths, as well as materials that could be possibly utilized in the couture industry.
Further steps involve 3D Printing onto a 3D Canvas.
